Most searches require at least a first and last name. Under certain circumstances we can conduct
searches with a first name and date of birth. These are mostly used to search for a female who
may have changed her last name. Sometimes if the surname is uncommon enough we may
conduct nationwide sweeps using this criteria alone. Or we may be able to conduct searches with
last name, first initial if the surname is uncommon enough.
A middle initial helps us to narrow the search results, especially if the name is fairly common.
A Date of birth (DOB), Social Security number (SSN) or last known address (LKA) that is less
than 5 years old are excellent identifiers and very helpful in conducting a successful search.
Finally, miscellaneous bits of information about your missing person's past are often helpful and
assist us in deciding which of our many searches to check. For instance, if you know when and
where your missing person has been in the Military, we may conduct a military search as part of
our effort to locate them. If you know other people who know where your subject may be, we
may discover that locating them may be easier than locating your subject directly. With our many
resources, it is surprising how little information we sometimes need in order to conduct a
successful locate. If you are uncertain as to whether or not you have enough information for us to
conduct a search, call us.

However, occasionally even we fail to locate someone. So we've compiled the following reasons
we've encountered over the years why a missing person remains missing:
They may have died in an accident, disaster or other tragic occurrence in which they were not
properly found or identified upon their death.
They may be out of the country and are not registered with the U.S. State department. This is
often the case when a person passes across the Mexican or Canadian boarder, then heads for parts
unknown.
They may be living on the street (ie homeless) in an unregistered hotel, motel, boarding house,
etc or they otherwise simply do not have a permanent residence for more than a very short period
of time.
They may be living with an unknown relative, friend, etc and no paper trail to their real name
exists.
They may have been recruited or joined a Cult and been cut off from contact with people from outside their group.
They may currently be in the Federal Witness Protection Program (FWPP) or the Federal
Witness Relocation Program (FWRP) or they may be operating as an undercover operative for a
federal agency or military unit. (Note: we usually get a strange call from the govt. when this is
the case).
They may have changed their name using a common law procedure whereby they simply begin
using a new name without formally recording it at a local courthouse. This "alias" technique is
common with fugitives and loan skips.
They may be in a federal, State or local prison not searched during our basic locate search.
They may be in a mental health or other health care facility not searched during our basic locate
search.
They may be living in a posh "Gated Community" that takes great lengths to hide the identity of it's residents (popular with celebrities).
Plus many other reasons which we do not discuss with the public for fear that our techniques
for locating missing persons become less effective.
Rarely does a missing person escape our "Search NET" If you want to locate your missing person
